The head coach of West Ham United SlavenBilic, has recently praised and given a nickname to his 26 year old Welsh defender James Collins who has been making remarkable performances and has helped his team in avoiding the relegation zone.


West Ham United has been struggling to secure consistent victories throughout this season. Out of their 10 latest league matches, they have only managed to win 1 match which was against Swansea City in a game that was played back on April 8.

Starting from February 25 until April 29 of 2017, West Ham United played 10 matches and had to settle with 1 victory, 4 draws and 5 defeats.

The 17th of December being Saturday, will see West Ham go on to face Hull City in London, at the London Stadium or their latest Premier League Clash.


In order to climb up further away from the relegation zone, the Hammers still have lot of work to do, but will be boosted up ahead of their clash, following a 1-0 win against Burnley earlier this week.

With their latest win, they sit at the 15th position on the table, with four points away from the relegation zone as they head into the fixtures for Christmas and the New Year.

Crystal Palace are set to host West Ham this weekend in a Premier League clash.

Palace would be ready to face the Hammers, who are enjoying a fitness boost ahead of the clash at Selhurst Park. The Hammers have suffered a poor start to the new season. West Ham have had just one victory in all league games played so far, and they find themselves in the relegation zone despite the huge sums spent during the summer on transfers.

On the contrary, Palace have won three of their last four games under coach Alan Pardew. A win this weekend would push them to the top six but it would be a difficult tie as West Ham would be seeing another win to boost their hopes this season.

James Collins Stays With Crawley

James Collins has come on the news as he has been signed up by Crawley for three years.

This club has signed him up on a contract that has been possible after his contract with Shrewsbury has been cancelled. This was done on mutual consent. This 25 year old player started off his playing career with Aston Villa. He was given out on loan to clubs like Burton and Darlington. He then joined Shrewsbury in the year 2011.

The first season that Collins spent in the club he had about 47 appearances and scored about 16 goals. He was even promoted to League Two based on his performance for the team.

West Ham and Wales defender has said that Wales need to win their opening game at the Euros if they want to have a successful tournament.

The first game will be against Slovakia, and the defender believes that they will need to be ready for the opening game if they want to make it out of the group stage. Indeed, the other two matches will not be easier as they will be facing England and Russia.

James Collins said that it will be a new experience for the Wales team and that they are excited to be part of the tournament. This will be the first international competition that Wales will be participating in after the 1958 World Cup, and they will be hoping that they have a successful one.

First team coach of Crewe Alex, James Collins, says he is pleased with the performance of Callum Sanders after the youngsters’s recent performance.

The coach is hoping that ‘late developer’ Callum Saunders can reward the faith that the club have shown in him with more goals. The 20-year-old was given a three-year contract in the summer of 2014. He has struggled with injuries this season but he has also shown potential in his 22 appearances to date. He has started just five games in two seasons for the club, scoring his second goal in Crewe colours in the 1-1 disappointing home game against Colchester United.

“He’s been ill quite a bit this year so he’s had an up and down season where he’s not been able to put a run of games together.

James Collins warned about his future conduct after incident

James Collins has been fined two weeks wages after photos emerged of the player urinating in a glass and throwing over a balcony. This happened at the Cheltenham Festival where James Collins was present together with a group of other footballers.

Collins, who is currently on loan at Northampton from Shrewsbury, has so far made 12 appearances. He managed to score six goals so far to help his team consolidate their place at the top of League Two.

Both Shrewsbury and Northampton has issued a joint-statement to indicate that they have investigated the issue after a newspaper release the photos. They have decided that James Collins should be fined two weeks wages and that he will be warned about his future conduct.

West Ham have made a huge improvement in terms of form and playing style under the regime of Slaven Bilic.

The Croatian may be considered as a legend around these parts, but he did not have any managerial experience in England prior to taking over at West Ham. It was always going to be a massive job to follow in the footsteps of Sam Allardyce. The former Bolton Wanderers manager may have not entertain the fans with flowing football, but he helped the club stay in the division quite comfortably.

James Collins signed a 4 year long deal with West Ham United on August of 2012 but the experienced defender wants to have his contract extended for a longer period of time as the player loves playing for his club and wants nothing else than to continue doing what he does now.

The Welsh defender is not the most skillful player on the pitch or agile and energetic one compared to some of his teammates in West Ham United but there is something that has turned James Collins into a fans favorite and this is thanks to his courage and tenacity as Collins is always up to the challenge of performing at his best every single time, in every match.
