West Ham and Wales defender has said that Wales need to win their opening game at the Euros if they want to have a successful tournament.

The first game will be against Slovakia, and the defender believes that they will need to be ready for the opening game if they want to make it out of the group stage. Indeed, the other two matches will not be easier as they will be facing England and Russia.

James Collins said that it will be a new experience for the Wales team and that they are excited to be part of the tournament. This will be the first international competition that Wales will be participating in after the 1958 World Cup, and they will be hoping that they have a successful one.

He believes that a win and a draw could be enough for them to go through the next round and this is what they are hoping to achieve. Collins would want to think that they can kick off their tournament with a win against Slovakia and get a result either against England or Russia to put them through to the next round.

He said that playing England in a friendly is in itself a big game, and now they will be playing in a major tournament. He believes that the game opposing England will be a great one and that both teams will be ready to win the game. However, he wants to stay focus on the first game and ensure that they could get a positive result to put them in the best position.

Wales will be hoping that Gareth Bale will inspire them to a good tournament and that they could reach the second round where anything can happen.
