Some big names in football will be available for free in the summer of 2020, some players refused to put pen on a new deal while some clubs might refuse to offer fresh terms for players who are out of contract.
Here is a list of players who will be out of contract at the end of the season.
Edinson Cavani was close to joining Atletico Madrid in the winter transfer window but the deal failed as compensation for the players’ representatives were not met. PSG also demanded €20 million for their all-time top scorer and interested clubs were pushed away by the asking price for a player who will be available for free in the summer.
Willian will be out of contract at the end of the season at Stamford Bridge, the Blues are known not to offer more than a year contract for players above 30 and a year deal is available for Willian to sign but the player is holding out for a longer term. The club and the player have not reached a compromise over the renewal and it is most likely the player will leave at the end of the season. Juventus, Barcelona and inter Milan have been credited with interest on the player.
Nemanja Matic joined Manchester United from Chelsea in 2017 and has enjoyed a mixed stay at Old Trafford. He was surplus to requirements earlier in the season, but he has since been reinstated in the side.
James Collins, He is renowned for his stay with West Ham, the Wales international strong man is entering the twilight of his career and he will be looking at the lower league to extend his playing career.
David Silva, 33, joined Manchester City in 2010, and he is expected to depart the Etihad stadium at the end of the season.
